Demand has moved toward highly breathable tents that also provide shade, which is the brief for this spring and summer model. Tent fabrics fall into three main groups: poly-cotton, polyester and nylon. Poly-cotton is used mainly in winter for its breathability and insulation, and a polyester tent can be paired with a stove for additional warmth. For summer use, mesh-panelled tents are the stronger option.

This polyester tent has a light, breathable construction. All four sides combine large mesh panels with polyester fabric, and rolling the fabric back leaves the mesh exposed for maximum ventilation and an unobstructed view from inside. In summer, when insects are most active, the breathable mesh keeps mosquitoes out, and with the mesh fully closed smaller insects cannot get in either.

Rolling the outer window panel down over the mesh creates a private space, which suits users who need uninterrupted sleep. Two poles at one end prop the door open as a canopy, adding a sheltered area large enough for a table and two chairs. The result is a multi-use tent that works well for family trips.

Two small triangular vents at the apex improve air movement through the tent, which keeps the interior cool in summer. The frame uses fiberglass poles, which are durable, resistant to breakage and cost-efficient, and keep overall weight low for easier carrying. An S-hook at the apex takes a lantern, additional hooks hold phones and other small items, and two internal pockets add storage.
