Application: a sleeping bag works as a self-contained quilt, and the style and filling weight are selected according to the temperatures at the destination. Besides camping, the same bags are used for vehicle travel and indoors as a blanket, which allows retailers to position them across several categories.

Raw material:
Material options: common shell fabrics are 190T polyester, 210T rip-stop polyester, flannel, canvas, and nylon. Linings are usually 190T polyester pongee, fleece, or plain polyester, and the two standard fillings are hollow cotton and microfiber. Polyester is the most economical choice, and within polyester a higher thread count indicates a denser fabric, so 210T is a step up from 190T. Nylon is the second most requested shell: it is lighter, stronger, and softer to the touch, and we recommend it for hiking and long-distance use. Hollow cotton filling is dosed according to the target temperature rating or the finished weight you specify. Microfiber is lighter and softer, and at the same filling weight it extends the comfort rating by roughly 5 degrees compared with hollow cotton. The combinations ordered most often are polyester shell with polyester lining and hollow cotton; nylon with nylon lining and microfiber; and nylon with polyester pongee and microfiber. Other combinations can be quoted on request.

Specifications: several regular mummy styles are available, the most requested sizes being (200+30) x 80 x 55 cm and (190+30) x 80 x 50 cm. The mummy cut is widest at the shoulder and tapers toward the foot. A draft tube and neckline can be added to reduce heat loss, an inner pocket can be fitted for a phone or valuables, and two arm openings at chest level are available on request. Customer-specified constructions are welcome.

Packing: all sleeping bags are supplied with a carry bag. Options include a plain bag in the same fabric as the shell, a compression bag with four straps in Oxford or shell fabric, and versions with a carry handle. Custom carry bag designs can be developed to your drawing.
