The cover blocks direct sunlight through the cab glazing, which reduces the interior temperature while the vehicle is parked and provides privacy in the driver area during rest stops. It also protects the glass and wipers from bird droppings, dirt, snow and rain.

The main panel covers the windshield together with the driver and passenger doors and fits most European-style light truck and motorhome fronts, with adjustment to limit sagging. The wiper and vent area is covered to protect the wiper blades from UV exposure and to keep debris out of the vent. The cover is secured with PVC hooks at the doors and magnets along the lower edge, holding position in wind speeds up to 70 km/h while remaining quick to remove. The material is UV resistant and rated for service from -20 °C to 80 °C.

In cold regions the cover reduces preparation time before departure by keeping snow and ice off the windshield, and it protects the wiper assembly. It fits most truck models, including Ford 1973 to 1991.
